~~~MEN’S HEALTH WEEK~~~
In June 2001, MAN organised the first ever  Men's Health event in Ireland that over the course of a  week focused  on Men’s Health and wellbeing .
MAN called it the “Positive Maleness Festival with had objectives of:
Communicating positive health messages  to men
Highlighting service  providers who offer specific services to men
Providing a number of health related awareness events for men
Engaging  voluntary, statuary, community and wider public in developing and  taking ownership of
 Men’s Health initiatives
 In the intervening years this inaugural event evolved into Men's Health Week which has now grown to become a well established annual event as witnessed by the development of many local ,regional and national initiatives  that offer a range of events for Men’s Health Week.
Men's Health Week runs each year in the week leading up to Fathers Day (the third Sunday in June every year) with organisations  such as the  Men's Health Forum of Ireland  and various Health Promotion Agencies and Charities highlighting a new theme each year.
~~~FATHERS DAY EVENTS~~~

Fathers or Father Figures play a vital role within family life and to children’s emotional development. As role models, nurturers and carers they help create a sense of identity, self esteem, and guidance within their children and are fundamental in the creation of the next generation of role models in future society.

While acknowledging that not all fathers or father figures, by their presence or absence, impact only positively on their children, the vast majority do their best to care, nurture and provide for their children and partners.

In past year’s MAN has worked to create greater awareness and validation of  Father’s and their fundamental role in the well being of society. We have done this by creating events that offer the  general public a chance to honour Fathers and the role of Fathering.
