~~~One to One Support~~~

 

For men who feel they would like to talk with another man , in person ,on issues affecting their live.

Support is offered primarily to men however we are able to work with partners in regards to relationship difficulties if both partners request it.

~~~Your Space~~~

This weekly self-help support group ,facilitated by MAN ,is a safe confidential space where men support each other .

Within the group process men can express any concerns, issues or worries they may have free from fear, ridicule, judgement or personal attack.

~~~Families Matter /Fathers Support~~~

 

A support service for men experiencing difficulties as a result of family break up.

This service offers support at emotional and stressful times  when men  often feel alone, isolated ,confused or depressed.                         

MAN can also signpost referral contacts for child contact, court orders ,and family law issues and can accompany  individuals to court and/or legal appointments .

MAN’s first concern when offering support to men is always with and to the individual who contacts us.

MAN however works within ethical and legal requirements that may require us, at exceptional times ,

to involve other bodies in the welfare of individuals and/or their associates .

In such cases  however this is always clearly stated and explained and nothing done without the individuals full knowledge.

This practice is relevant to all areas of MAN’s work and policies.

Policies and Best Practice

 

As an organisation MAN has become a member of BACP and works to its guidelines in policies and best practices. We ensure that all who work with individuals on a one to one or group basis are accredited or working towards an recognised accreditation  with an organistion such as BACP or one of equal equivalent professionalism.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY

Confidentiality is fundamental in working with individuals who engage in any of our services and  our policy and practice in this area helps create the healing environment needed for our work.

 

SEXUAL ABUSE POLICY

MAN offers sensitive support to victims of sexual abuse and has clear policy and practice on disclosure and the support of the survivor, their wishes and needs.

 

 

MAN operates to ensure best practise to all who engage with the many facets of our support services and programmes and as such work in line with current polices and procedures  regarding

You can contact us in confidence , anonymously, if you choose, on any issue you would like to talk about, seek awareness on, or find support with.

~~~SURVIVING~~~

 

This is a facilitated weekly self help support group for adult male survivors of sexual abuse.

 

As part of this service we offer a Dedicated Helpline on Thursdays 6pm-7pm manned by trained volunteers who will take your call in confidence.
